Her Violins

The violin that Chee-Yun performs on was made in 1669 in Cremona, Italy during the period that has come to be known as the Golden Age of the craft. The instrument was built by Francesco Ruggieri, one of Nicolo Amati’s first known disciples, and is a magnificent example of his master’s Grand Patterns a model still unsurpassed in its harmony of design and beauty of tone.
